The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), has expressed deep shock over the untimely death of the former Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Barnabas Yusuf Bala Bantex whose sad event occurred on Sunday the 11th of July, 2021.
A statement by SOKAPU’s President, Jonathan Asake, said, “On behalf of the entire Southern Kaduna family, I convey our deepest regrets and prayers to his immediate family members, the Sholio Nation, relations, friends, associates and all well-wishers for God’s divine consolation.”
The statement noted that Arc. Bala Bantex until his demise had served his people, Kaduna State and the nation at large in various capacities.
SOKAPU noted that late Bala Barnabas Bantex started as a young lecturer in the Department of Architecture, University of Jos and later moved on to practice his chosen profession in the Construction Industry where he made his mark before delving into politics.

The group which revealed that Bantex was a one time Secretary of SOKAPU, credited the design of the group’s logo of “Unity in Diversity” to him.
SOKAPU appreciated the contributions of Bantex to its progress and said he would be greatly missed.
”Arc. Bala Bantex was a one time Secretary of SOKAPU and he designed the SOKAPU logo of “Unity in Diversity” for which he is greatly appreciated and will always be remembered”.
The group prayed God to grant the entire Southern Kaduna, the state and the country the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
