The unidentified jailbird at the Metropolitan Correctional Center has been moved to isolation since they were confirmed to have the deadly bug, the Bureau of Prisons said.
The federal prison system has a total of 10 confirmed coronavirus cases — four staff members and six inmates, according to a tally from BOP.
The infected inmates include a prisoner at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, according to the agency.
The MCC in Manhattan has had a host of issues in recent years, including overcrowding and inmate abuse by correction officers.
The facility was locked down for weeks in early March as authorities searched for a loaded gun that had been smuggled into the prison. Officials eventually found the weapon — and a cache of other contraband — in the prison after days of searching.
The prison has been under intense scrutiny since Epstein hanged himself in his cell last August while two prison guards allegedly failed to check on him and slept just 15 feet from his cell.
The guards are accused of falsifying reports to cover their trail and make it appear like they were doing their jobs the night of the suicide.
