President Buhari hails Minister, Rotimi Amaechi

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on the occasion of his 55th birthday.

Buhari, in a statement signed by his Spokesman, Garba Shehu, and made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday, commended the Minister for his result-oriented leadership style.

Buhari noted that the Minister style of leadership has positively reflected on the people.

The statement said that Buhari joins the APC, the former Rivers State Governor’s family and political associates of the in celebrating his milestone.

The President congratulated the Minister “for a meteoric political rise, underlined by his forthrightness, diligence and deep sense of loyalty and patriotism,” the statement said.

Buhari said that as the Minister turns 55, his investments in the development of his home state, Rivers, and current efforts in building infrastructure across the country will always be remembered by posterity.



Buhari urged Amaechi to stay focused on the larger picture of working to improve the people.

President Buhari further hailed the former Rivers Governor for his willingness to make sacrifices and ruling support the APC.

He recalled “with appreciation, the major role he [Amaechi] played in the 2015 and 2019 Presidential Elections, and his continuous contributions to promote peace and unity of purpose.”

For this, the President Buhari prayed that God will position the Director-General of his Presidential Campaigns for greater glory, and grant him more opportunities to serve the country and humanity.
