The mother-in-law of British cop Wayne Couzens griped about the “horror” directed at her family since the officer was charged with kidnapping and murdering Sarah Everard.

Nina Sukhoreba told The Mirror that her daughter, Elena, who has been married to the London diplomatic protection officer for 15 years, has been forced to take down her social media because of the barrage of hate.

Messages included ones calling the Couzenses “scum,” “evil parents” and hopes that authorities “take your kids away,” the paper said.

“I am very surprised how the Western people have behaved,” Sukhoreba told the UK paper from her home in Ukraine.

“How can they write such horror about my family?” she asked.

The interview made no mention of her addressing Everard, the 33-year-old marketing executive who was found dead after disappearing March 3 while walking home from a night out in London.

Her daughter was also arrested last week on suspicion of assisting an offender. She was bailed until next month and has not been charged.

“Elena is really scared,” a friend of her mother’s told the UK paper. “She can’t believe what is happening.”

Couzens was arrested last Tuesday and charged with kidnap and murder. At a court hearing Tuesday, he was remanded in custody until a plea hearing in July 9, with a provisional trial date for Oct. 25.

Elena was also arrested last week on suspicion of assisting an offender. She was bailed until next month and has not been charged.

Everard, 33, went missing on March 3 as she walked home to south London’s Brixton after visiting friends in nearby Clapham. Her body was discovered a week later in woods in Ashford, Kent, about 50 miles away.

Her death sparked mass anger in the UK, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson chaired a special meeting Monday night to confront safety fears for British women.

“The horrific case of Sarah Everard has unleashed a wave of feeling about women not feeling safe at night,” Johnson said. “We must do everything we can to ensure our streets are safe.”
