A Phoenix police officer fatally shot a home invasion suspect who allegedly ignored commands to drop his gun – and told cops to shoot him, department officials said.

Officers responded to a woman’s home on Feb. 6 after she called 911 to report finding an armed man, later identified as 29-year-old Anthony Greco, in her backyard, Phoenix police announced Monday while releasing video of the incident.

The woman, who was home alone at the time, had just gotten out of the shower when she noticed him, Phoenix police Sgt. Ann Justus said.

Greco then entered the woman’s home while she was on the phone with a dispatcher, according to her frantic 911 call.

“Get out of my house!” she screams. “Get out of my f–king house! He’s in my house with a gun, please hurry! Oh my God, please hurry!”

The frightened woman was able to escape her home to safety via a window. Body-cam video of the incident shows her wearing only a towel as she ran out.

Officers then set up behind a large cement wall, police video shows.

Greco proceeded to exit the house, while still armed, and refused an officer’s command to drop the weapon, Justus said.

One officer then fired one round from a rifle as Greco told him to “shoot me,” Justus said. The suspect’s actions were blocked from view of police bodycam at the time due to the large cement wall in the woman’s backyard, video shows.

Greco was later pronounced dead at the scene. A firearm was also found near his body, police said.

Two days earlier, Greco had kidnapped a relative at gunpoint and stole their car and a gun. He used the stolen vehicle to drive to the woman’s home and the pilfered weapon in the home invasion, police said.

The woman and Greco did not know each other, police said.

The officer involved in the shooting, Warren Jackson, 39, is a three-year department veteran. He’s been placed on administrative leave as an internal probe and a criminal investigation by the Maricopa County District Attorney’s Office into the police-involved shooting is underway, Justus told The Post.

“Conclusions about whether the actions of the officers are consistent with department policy and the law will not be made until all facts are known and the investigation is complete,” Justus said in the edited 5-minute video released Monday.

The woman and the officers were unharmed, police said.
