Protesters marking the anniversary of Breonna Taylor’s death clashed with cops in Hollywood late Saturday — with a wild video showing a police cruiser driving off with someone clinging on its hood.
At least 200 people took to Hollywood and Vine late Saturday calling for justice for Taylor, who was fatally shot by police in her Louisville, Kentucky, in a botched raid one year ago, KABC said.
At one point, a group of protesters dressed all in black — some holding umbrellas as smoke filled the air around them — were filmed blocking a line of at least six LAPD squad cars trying to get through.
After one protester blocked the lead car’s way, another came and banged on the hood — with both then climbing onto the hood, video shot by Sean Carmitchel shows.

The car then drove off, with one of the protesters managing to jump off but the other remaining on the hood as the cop car drove off, chased by a group of screaming onlookers.
“Holy s–t!” someone was heard shouting, along with repeated cries of, “Medic! Medic! Medic! Medic!”

Carmitchel later said that the protester on the car was not seriously injured. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center told KABC it had few details about the incident.
It came during a night of tense stand-offs with police in riot gear, the station said.
Images also showed graffiti scrawled around the area, including “die pigs” and “f–k 12,” a common anti-police message used during protests.

Taylor’s front door was breached by Louisville officers as part of a drug raid in the early morning hours of March 13, 2020. Her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker fired his gun once, saying later that he feared an intruder was entering the apartment.
One officer was struck, and he and two other officers fired 32 shots into the apartment, striking Taylor five times.
A grand jury indicted one officer on wanton endangerment charges in September for shooting into a neighbor’s apartment, but no officers were charged in connection with Taylor’s death.
A Kentucky judge last week signed an order permanently closing a criminal case against Walker for firing at the officer.
Walker filed a federal lawsuit against the Louisville Metro Police Department on Friday, alleging his constitutional rights were violated during the botched raid.
