Why is ‘The Bachelorette’ on Monday and Tuesday this week? 1

“Bachelor” Mondays are back.

Although Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” has been airing on Tuesday nights this season, Monday night, the schedule changes.

This week and next week, Tayshia Adams’ last four episodes of the ABC dating show’s season will air on both Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST.

The premiere of Matt James’ season of “The Bachelor” will air on Monday, Jan. 4. His season will remain on Mondays.

On Dec. 14, it’s the drama-filled “Men Tell All” special, and the end of last week’s dates. On the 15th, viewers will see hometowns — a time when Adams will meet the families of the four remaining men.

The show’s finale will air on Dec. 22.

Because the coronavirus caused filming delays, “The Bachelorette” could not be shot and aired in the spring when it is usually broadcast. Instead, it was filmed over the summer and premiered in October. That conflicted with ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” which was also airing on Monday nights, so the network placed “The Bachelorette” on Tuesdays.

“Bachelor in Paradise” did not air this summer.

The “Dancing With the Stars” finale aired weeks ago, opening the night up for the long-running romance show.
