Il Mulino restaurateur Steven Raia flips $12.5M Miami mansion in a day

It really is hot in Miami — especially when it comes to real estate.

It only took one day to sell Il Mulino partner Steven Raia’s waterfront estate on man-made Hibiscus Island for its full $12.5 million asking price, according to sources and public records.

Raia bought the contemporary home for $3.59 million in 2014.

It sold after receiving “multiple offers in the first 24 hours” following its first showing, a source told Gimme.

The buyer is Don Dady Living Trust, with Don Dady of Paradise Valley, Arizona, as trustee.

The pricey palace at 421 N Hibiscus was listed by ONE Sotheby’s International Realty’s Jeff Miller, who declined comment.

Tara Batiste of Brown Harris Stevens repped the buyer.

Designed by Choeff Levy Fischman, the five-bedroom, five½-bath smart-wired home is 4,395 square feet.

It comes with a chef’s kitchen, oak floors, and floor-to ceiling-windows.

A real Paige turner

Also in Florida, a West Palm Beach home owned by the late design editor Paige Rense Noland is about to hit the market for $3.99 million.

The charming two-bedroom, 2½-half home, at 120 Murray Road, is 3,264 square feet.

The property, which is on one-third of an acre, also features a cozy 1,032-square-foot, one-bedroom guest cottage.

The long time editor of Architectural Digest, died last January at age 91.

In 2014, four years after she left AD, she opened an art gallery, Private View, with art dealer Ken Mitchell, to exhibit and sell art by her late husband, abstract artist Kenneth Noland.

She was also known for her work as editor-in-chief of GEO, and Bon Appetit — as food and shelter often go together.

Just kidding aound

Changing gears back up north, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club is on the prowl for a townhouse to stage the 2021 Kips Bay Decorator Show House.

There’s no date set for the fundraiser yet. First, they need to find the townhouse and it’s often a win-win.

In 2018, the Joseph Chetrit-developed 110 E. 76th St. went on to sell for $40 million cash to Julia Koch and the late David Koch.

In 2019, the double, 40-foot-wide 36-38 E. 74th St. mansion sold for $25.5 million — down from its $30 million ask — after being staged by top designers including Charlotte Moss, Vicente Wolf, Corey Damen Jenkins and Young Huh.
