The Cardinals take a cross-country flight to East Rutherford, N.J., to meet the Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
The Giants (5-7) have been one of the NFL’s most profitable wagers in recent weeks. They’ve gone 7–2 against the spread since the start of October, with the lone blemishes in that span being a 20–19 victory over Washington as a 1.5-point home favorite Oct. 18 then a 19–17 victory as a 6.5-point road favorite at Cincinnati two Sundays ago. Quarterback Colt McCoy started last Sunday in Seattle in place of Daniel Jones, who was out with a hamstring injury, and helped lead New York to a 17–12 upset win over the Seahawks as a double-digit road underdog.
After winning five of their first seven games of the 2020 season, the Cardinals (6-6) come into this one having gone 1–4 straight-up and 0–5 against the spread over their past five outings. Arizona is coming off a 38–28 loss as a 3-point home underdog against the Rams this past Sunday.
The Giants’ odds to beat Arizona opened at +138 at FOX Bet Sportsbook, which implies New York has a 42 percent chance of winning.
The Cardinals have gotten the better of this head-to-head series in recent seasons, going 4–1 both straight-up and against the spread when facing the Giants since the start of the 2009 season. This is the first meeting between the teams since Arizona’s 27–21 victory as a 3.5-point road underdog in October 2019. Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds was the star of that game, rushing for 126 yards and three touchdowns.
This time around, FOX Bet Sportsbook is offering odds of +400 for both Jones and Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray to throw for 250 or more yards.
The stars of the show
Wayne Gallman has been one of the keys to the Giants’ success in recent weeks. He has rushed for six touchdowns over the past six games, and he has averaged 87.5 rushing yards per contest during the Giants’ current four-game win streak. His 135-yard effort in the win at Seattle on Sunday marked the first time in his pro career that Gallman surpassed 100 rushing yards in a game.
FOX Bet Sportsbook is offering +225 odds on Gallman to tally 75 or more rushing yards and at least one touchdown against the Cardinals.
All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been sensational in his first season in Arizona. He enters Week 14 as one of just seven NFL players to have surpassed 1,000 receiving yards this season. Hopkins has averaged 101 receiving yards over his two career games against the Giants.
FOX Bet Sportsbook is offering odds of +175 on Hopkins to tally 75 or more receiving yards and score at least one touchdown against the Giants.
