Cris Collinsworth is mad at ‘Jeopardy!’ 1

Cris Collinsworth isn’t as iconic as he thought.

The renowned three-time Pro Bowl receiver turned sportscaster was stunned on Thursday night when none of the contestants on popular game show “Jeopardy!” could answer a clue about him.

“Another humbling moment,” Collinsworth wrote on Twitter accompanied by a photo of his TV screen. “Nobody on Jeopardy had a clue.”

The clue read, “The announcers on ‘NBC Sunday Night Football’ are Al Michaels & this former wide receiver.”

Collinsworth was the Bengals’ second-round pick from the University of Florida in 1981. The former Gator and first-team All-American played for Cincinnati for eight years, during which he earned first-team All-Pro honors in 1983 and advanced to two Super Bowls (16 and 23).

After his retirement from the NFL, Collinsworth began his broadcasting career as a reporter for HBO’s “Inside the NFL” in 1989. Since then, he has commentated for FOX Sports, NBC and NFL Network and is the recipient of five Sports Emmy Awards.

The 61-year-old has been the color commentator for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” for 12 seasons.
